Cheat’s Cheesecake

Posted at 19:40 in Uncategorised

This is what I made tonight. I ate it after my dinner and it really was a fantastic, healthier alternative!
I mixed 70g quark with 1/4 scoop cookies & crem whey protein, then spread on top of 3 oatcakes. I chopped and blended 70g strawberries with 2 tsp agave nectar and drizzled on top. Delicious.
I have been chatting to some companies who make my favourite products and will be getting some more samples to taste, review and giveaway, so watch this space! Products will range from more bars, nut butters and chocolate among others. I feel it only fair to share whatever I get sent with my loyal readers, after all, you guys support me and my blog on a daily basis so it is nice to give something back to you guys.
I was working all day today so didn’t much feel like cooking when I got home. I had no idea what to eat and nothing conventional took my fancy. So, I decided to make up some chocolate crepes and topped them with some almond butter and sliced banana. Lovely and extremely filling!

I weighed in as normal this morning and was shocked to realise I have lost 2lb! I am not sure how I managed this, as I have been a lot hungrier this week and have eaten more as a consequence. I ate my big, calorie laden “blow out” meal last Thursday which I estimated to have put me around 800-1000 over my maintenance calories. I have recovered some of those as the week has gone on thanks to exercising but have eaten over my allocated calorie allowance EVERY day. I have read that an increase in hunger can be down to my metabolism speeding up which was confirmed to me by a PT, so it seems I did the right thing in listening to my body and eating more. If my metabolism really is firing this well then I will be a very happy JAG!

I am going out with my lovely friend Lynette tomorrow. She is the one moving away to Tenerife next month so we are going to drool over Johnny Depp in Public Enemies then going to a swanky Indian restaurant for a curry. As it’s a special occasion, I might allow myself a small glass of wine, but I will see how I feel tomorrow.
