A late run

I’ve been putting off going to the gym all week, even though I have started every day promising myself I will go.
Since I found out about Jenn, I have had a sort of dark cloud hanging over me and I have found it very difficult to snap out of my low mood. Focussing on my blog the last two days I’ve been off work has helped to take my mind off things but come gym time, I’ve just not had the energy or the inclination to go.
I sat earlier pondering whether to go and decided I wasn’t going to bother and then sat feeling guilty for the rest of the night.
Then, a timely email at 9.20pm from my buddy “Mr Nonsense” came through telling me to get my arse down the gym and put that negative energy to good use. Well, it was too late to get to the gym but his words hit a nerve, so I went upstairs, got on my gym gear and running shoes and went and had a quick run. It was only a short 2 mile run and I was done in 17 minutes but I ran hard and fast and got all my pent up energy out of my system and I feel SO much better!
So, a big public thank you to Mr Nonsense. This dude is a god send and has helped me immensely whilst I’ve been on my journey. He’s let me bend his ear about everything, has answered any questions I’ve had and give my arse a good kicking when I’ve needed it.
If you’re reading mate, I couldn’t do this without you, and I am forever grateful to you.
My food has been ok today, though I ate muesli for dinner and my fruit & veg count has been pathetically low. I will do better tomorrow.
