I really need the positive vibes of my lovely little bloglets as I have applied for some new jobs!
The first one is with the local hospital, working as a dietician's assistant. The hours are only part time but it's a job I would love to do.
The second job with with the local PCT working full time as a health trainer.
As you all know, diet & fitness are my two major passions and to be able to work at something I absolutely love would be a dream come true.
I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I really can't help it. I kinda wish there wasn't so much inappropriate stuff on here (cursing and drunken pics lol) as I would have sent them the link to read some of my articles, etc.
Anyway, do watch this space and I *REALLY* hope to have something positive to report soon!

Thanks lovely ladies, I'm crossing absolutely everything!
Hey Hun - if you get an interview for the dietetic one and need any advice or help let me know :-) I had to make up a presentation for mine with flip charts etc on how to get the weight loss message across in a friendly manner - I seem to remember humour being part of it! You should have ah eads up anyway - i think your knowledge on the subject is pretty good!!!! Just remember they work to the eatwell food plate with the governments recommendations and in general dont go with the extra protein and advise lots of carbs!! Its something that challenges me often and i have now learnt to keep my mouth shut and keep my own views for my PT clients!!
Really good luck xxx
Oo, that's exciting! Fingers crossed here for you!
Oh they both sound brilliant. Good luck!!!
Choc, that information is so useful, thank you! I figured they would promote a different "healthy" lifestyle to the one I follow so I knew I would have some reading to do on the matter.
My confidence in this subject is pretty high because I do know what I'm talking about so if a presentation was required, I think I could do that no problems.
Totkat & Deise, thanks so much for the positive vibes, I am really hopeful.
No worries - if you want any more you have my email so just ask away - i would look up the eatwell plate online and research their recommendations - and keep quiet about your own ideals!

Hey mate, I have already been reading up about the eatwell plate, not so impressed with what I read to be honest and I know I would struggle to promote something I don't agree with - arrghh!
Yes this is my problem too especially when the carbs are so high, sugar isnt really limited etc however it is fairly easy to follow and should give results to obese people - the good things are that it does promote fruit and veg, and does teach portion control! Unfortunately the 2 worlds do not mix and i have had numerous discussions with my line manager who firmly believes that the government are right! This is where fat loss and weight loss issue crops up and especially in the last year or so i just remain tight lipped on my own views when at work or i wouldnt have a job lol! I think the way to look at it is that you would still be helping people to increase their health and lose some weight which is always beneficial - its just tough when we know a different way!
