A good food day…

but still slack on exercise!
This week has been the craziest week, I don’t seem to have had time to do anything. I think I am going to have to get really serious and strict with myself and set aside time to train regularly. It’s not normally as bad as it has been this week but 3 days out of 5, I haven’t been home until after 7pm, by which time I have to cook and eat dinner.
I’m looking forward to a weekend of training. Two weights sessions and a run are planned and if I don’t do them, I give you all permission to slipper me!
Operation Butt Kick is now in full swing. My initial post over on WLR has now received 176 replies. Add to that the people that have emailed, joined via the blog, via my facebook group and twitter and I reckon there are well over 100 people joining in.
All from a single post from me – isn’t that amazing?!
I have to admit, I feel extremely proud of the sheer amount of motivation and team spirit that is floating around on WLR at the moment. To know I have helped out with that is just incredible. I’ve been told numerous time how good I am at motivating people, that I should do this for a living or that I should write a book. Well, anyone out there that could help me with that, get in touch!
Onto my food for the day. I’m trying to keep the carbs reigned in on non-exercise days as I know how much better I felt when I carb cycled last year. It also really helps with fat loss and as that is my primary goal at the moment, it makes sense to try it again.
I started off the day with berocca, green tea and porridge. My porridge was mixed with a scoop of MP chocolate whey and topped with Greek yoghurt, pecans & blackberries.
Mid morning, I drank my, now routine, skimmed latte. No photograph though.
For lunch, I wanted something pretty low carb so I made a yummy strawberry protein pancake. It was made up of 6 egg whites, 1 scoop MP strawberry whey, topped with a good dollop of Greek yoghurt & blackberries.
Mid afternoon, I snacked on a sliced gala apple & a babybel light with more green tea & water
Whilst I waited for the hubby to come home, I snacked on a small cocoa loco Nakd bar, but was so hungry, I didn’t snap it.
Dinner was a gorgeous king prawn stirfry.
I just used a large bag of king prawns, mushroom stir fry, 2 tsp soy sauce and a tiny drizzle of toasted sesame oil upon serving. I bulk up the hubby’s with rice noodles but I don’t tend to bother with them as I have got used to not having carbs with my evening meal, unless I’m training.

What do you all have planned for the weekend? Come and share with me! I am working tomorrow morning, but then I’m taking Mini JAG to the cinema and then onto Burger King for a treat which means I will have to be super strict and take something healthy to snack on so I don’t get tempted. Then on Sunday, the whole family are going ice skating, which should be hilarious as it is something I have never done before.
Have fun bloggies!
