I had a Magic Bullet and now I have a rip off copy but still fantastic so I encourage you all to enter, it makes the best smoothies and frappuccinos and you can grind your own coffee beans and make things like soups and sauces in one person servings :)

I would love a magic bullet! My favourite healthy smoothie (at the moment) would have to be:

    Nutty Berry Protein Smoothie

    Lots of frozen mixed berries
Scoop of vanilla or chocolate whey powder
    Vanilla rice milk
    Tablespoon of peanut butter

    Tasty!

  4. Faye says:

    28g Choc Protein Powder
Half Banana (Even better if frozen)
    Ice cubes
    Some vanilla yoghurt
    1 tsp flax seed oil
    1 tsp coconut oil
    1st Peanut butter
    120ml water

  5. Kat says:

Oooh, very similar to the others!

    Scoop chocolate soy protein
    50g greek yoghurt
    200ml skimmed milk
    100g frozen mixed berries

    Yum yum yum…

  6. Tamsin says:

    2 x big ripe mango
    1 individual pot peach yogurt
    juice of 1 lime
Enough apple juice to make it pourable – depends how juicy the mangos are!
Ice is optional – I make it without but it would probably add to the refreshing taste!

  7. MandyMc says:

I love fresh pineapple, coconut protein powder, skimmed milk and crushed ice. ( a lovely non-alcoholic malibu! :)

    • Just a Girl says:

I’m yet to find a coconut protein powder, where you do you get yours from? It sounds delicious :)

      • MandyMc says:

I’ve just recently discovered Boditronics Express whey which does coconut. I bought it from Bodybuilding warehouse. (Free delivery).
The coconut is quite sweet but good for mixing. Their chocolate is yummy too.
I’ve also bought peanut toffee but haven’t tried it as yet and can’t wait.
Good luck with cutting down on those treats – they are my downfall too!!

  8. suzie says:

Yummy! If you love your snickers smoothie, check out my recipe page for peanut butter cups – frozen goodies that taste like the inside of a snickers :)

  11. pamplemousse21 says:

My alltime favourite has got to be: fresh pineapple, mango, peach, banana, greek yoghurt and some reduced fat coconut milk and enough pineapple juice to make it the desired consistency.

It’s so creamy and lush, the banana, coconut milk and yoghurt give it SUCH an indulgent texture!

  12. Christine Deane says:

Would really like a bullet, my mixer on its last legs.

    My favorite is

Strawberries, raspeberries, orange juice, live yogurt and apple. Also can add coconut and cashew butter

    Yummy. :)

  13. Katt says:

I have a bullet but I will share my fave recipe anyway :) It is a scoop of vanilla protein and two teaspoons of coffee granules blended with loads of ice, it tastes just like a frappuccino! My daughters favourited is orange and carrot juice blended with frozen raspberries, it is like a healthy slush :)

    • Just a Girl says:

I love the frappucino idea, I tried to make one once and it was ok, but I think I maybe needed to add more ice – will definitely be trying out your recipe!

I also love the healthy slush idea for your wee girl :)

  14. Victory says:

I am loving smoothies right now as my eating is limited! I have been playing around with recipies etc – some successful and some not!

Current fave is Vanilla rice milk, frozen pineapple, frozen mango and ice so it goes really thick and yummy :D My more “treat” type fave is Vanilla rice milk, cocoa powder, frozen banana chunks and a spoon of peanut butter.

The ultimate one for me tho is saved only for workout days when I have lots of calories! Vanilla rice milk, coconut milk, scoop cookie and cream whey and 2tsp grated dark chocolate and lots of ice. If you subsitute chocolate whey and skip the coconut milk you can add a tsp of crunchy peanut butter and it is almost like a reeces cup!

  15. Bex says:

    Hiya Jo,

    What a great competition……

I love smoothies but my favourite is ….

    Healthy Pina Colada….

You simply take half of a fresh raw pineapple and chop it into chucks and pop into the freezer until semi – frozen.

Pop the pineapple (once semi frozen) into the smoothie maker and add 100g of natural set bio yogurt and blitz for a yummy creamy tropical tasting smoothie. If you want to add even more tropical yummyness I often add some desicated coconut too!!

    Thanks

    Bex xxxx

    • Just a Girl says:

Oh yum, I have a pineapple waiting to be used up, definitely going to make this one!

      Thanks for sharing Bex :)

  18. Carey says:

    My favourite smoothie is:
    1 frozen banana,
    6 frozen strawberries,
    a strawberry yoghurt
    skimmed milk to desired consistency.

I like my smoothies to be milkshake texture. Of course I also add a handful of frozen spinach as I have a freezer full of the stuff and apparently green food is healthy!
