TGI Friday!

Posted at 08:14 in Personal

Happy Friday bloggies!

Thank you for the kind messages, I’m feeling a little better this morning but still not great.  I went to work yesterday and my colleagues took one look at me and promptly sent me straight back home.  The 4 minute walk back home took me 12 minutes as I was in so much agony, I could barely walk and couldn’t even stand upright.

I went home and got in bed, spent an hour not able to stop the pain anyway I lay, sat or stood and then finally managed to get comfortable and slept until late afternoon.

I don’t feel this bad every month, even though every month is bad but once every few months I get a really bad episode where the pain is so severe, no pain killers will take the pain away, even prescription strength pain killers.  I’m seeing the practice nurse at work next week and she is going to refer me to the hospital with a view to ablation – has anyone had this done before and did it help?

As I was too ill yesterday, food was kept basic and not photographed:  Porridge for breakfast, a bagel for lunch and prawn jambalaya for dinner – not nearly enough calories but it’s all I could manage.

What are everyone’s weekend plans?

Tomorrow, we’re taking mini JAG to Ludlow for the day so are hoping the weather will stay fine.  Sunday will be a long-ish run and Monday, we are off to climb Snowdon again – this time taking a more difficult path.

Happy Friday everyone!

Which path are you taking up Snowdon? I did the Crib Goch Snowdon Horseshoe route very recently (google it) – it’s very precipitous and rather scary! Took us 4 hours 20.

I love walking up Snowdon, I’m very jealous! Hope the weather stays nice for you!

    Hi Jo,

I used to work in a hospital department where we did fibrations. I haven’t had one, but the word is they work wonders and bring huge relief! I hope that’s true!

Hope you feel better and enjoy Snowdon. We’re going for a lovely long lunch at a restaurant by the sea and apart from that I plan to sleep!
