Almost done…

Posted at 08:14 in Food

Happy Monday blog friends, hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I have packed up everything that can be packed and it’s all boxed and labelled ready to move next weekend.  The husband was out cutting our front lawn yesterday and I stood outside chatting to him whilst drinking a glass of wine and it’s the first time I felt sad about moving.  My neighbours across the way were out doing their garden with their little 3 year old boy helping and it made me realise that though we aren’t happy with our house, we do have some lovely neighbours.  I hope our new neighbours will be as nice as some of ours are.

Due to my hectic week, I realised I’ve not really posted any food updates.  I’ve not photographed everything I’ve eaten as I’ve not been blogging them but I do have a few.

Food has included lots of lovely bowls of delicious porridge…

Dippy boiled eggs and toast soldiers…

Delicious cheesy omelette with ham…

Skimmed lattes galore though I will only bore you with one picture…

Sirloin steak with red onions, mushrooms, potato wedges and salad…

Lamb kofta with Moroccan cous cous salad…

And of course, a few glasses of the good stuff, which has aided my packing endeavours so much…

I’m going to body attack this evening and am really looking forward to it after I had to miss it last week.  Though this week is going to be super busy, I will try and get to the gym once or twice but am going to give myself a break if I can’t manage it.

Have an awesome day guys!

I think moving will be it’s own work-out! Can’t wait to see pics of the new place, I’m really into house stuff just now!

It really is, normally when I get in from work I do the house work and sit and relax – there’s been none of that this week, it’s all go!

Hi Jo, congrats on your move! I just wanted to let you know I have seen Processed People and it is very pro vegetarian/starch based diet, interesting but not IMO worth £14.99, I watched it on the net and will try and find the link for you ;o) I have alss seen half of Food Inc which really is a good documentary, it has certainly persuaded me to base my families food around fish, rice and veg and to get a bread maker and make our own! I don’t think Europe is as bad as the US but we still have lots of food with soy and glucose syrup and corn fillers, yuk, it makes me want to puke thinking of the things we eat that stay edible for months on end whereas if I make a cake with natural ingredients it starts to mould after 3 days max!!

Oh, thanks for the review Katt – not so keen on pro-starch diets, you know I’m not a big believer in grains being essential in our diet so it will make for interesting watching. A lovely reader was kind enough to send me her copy to watch so I will be reviewing it very soon.

I really want to see Food Inc but I worry incase it puts me off meat as I love it! I always buy free range meat, organic when I can afford it, so I hope that goes some way to buying ethically.

You’re right about food keeping fresh for long, I just can’t be eating anything like that – it really does turn my stomach.

I still had the link in my favourites ;o)

Here is Food Inc if you haven’t seen it, it plays on the Megavideo link without downloading anything but you hve to take a break after 72 mins if you haven’t paid the membership fee, hence I ahve only seen half :D
