<p>I am super happy to report that my back is feeling a LOT better and my leg pain has eased up a lot too.  I&#8217;m wondering if the leg pain was something to do with my back, maybe a nerve problem?</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve mobilised as much as possible today and made sure I&#8217;ve not sat for too long and it&#8217;s definitely helped.  I am now hopeful that I will be able to complete my long run on Sunday.</p>
<p>The husband and I have also decided to climb <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowdon">Snowdon</a></strong> on bank holiday Monday.  It&#8217;s something we planned to do late last year but didn&#8217;t get around to doing it.  <strong>Have any readers every climbed Snowdon?</strong></p>
<p>I&#8217;m really looking forward to it as it&#8217;s something completely different and outside of my comfort zone.  I love a new challenge and the husband said we are choosing a more difficult route rather than the easy path so it should be fun.  Of course, I will take my camera with me so you lovely folks can see the journey :-)</p>
<p>If you recall, I posted about <strong><a href="http://www.jagsfitnessblog.com/2010/04/27/inspiration-2/">Inspiration</a></strong> the other day and I mentioned creating an <a href="http://fitnessista.com/2010/01/youre-my-inspiration-board/">inspiration board</a>.  I think I&#8217;m going to give this a try.  I&#8217;m currently searching out inspirational and motivational images and phrases to stick on it and I&#8217;m going to hang it in the kitchen where I will see it often &#8211; not sure the husband will appreciate it hanging in the living room!</p>
<p>Food today has been good.  I very nearly gave in and ate chips from the chip shop for dinner but the thought of having to post here that I ate them was enough to stop me hahaha!  I&#8217;ve really got to get my eating under control a little better &#8211; I&#8217;m not choosing as wisely as I normally do and as a result, I&#8217;m feeling yucky.  I think the worst thing I could have done was buy more rice crackers &#8211; those bad boys tempt me like nothing else!  I think I will be donating them to someone else so they aren&#8217;t hanging around in my kitchen.</p>
<p>Breakfast was the usual porridge, topped with Greek yoghurt, raspberries &amp; pecans.</p>

<p>As I had snacked late in the afternoon, come dinner time I wasn&#8217;t actually that hungry, regardless of my mind tricking me into thinking I wanted chips.  Thank goodness I resisted!</p>
<p>I decided to make up a smoothie, containing 1.5 scoops protein powder, 300ml skimmed milk &amp; a bunch of frozen summer berries &#8211; delicious and so thick my straws stood up in it.  The frozen berries gave it a lovely slushy consistency.</p>

<p><a href="http://gymninja.blogspot.com/">Gym Ninja</a> recently posted about creating an inspiration file, filled with pictures of physiques that inspire and motivate you.  This was something I created at the beginning of my journey last year and it definitely helps!  I also had a little hand held journal that I carried around with me and I printed out a few pictures and stuck them in there so that I could look at them if I needed a bit of a boost or I was tempted to eat something I shouldn&#8217;t have.</p>
<p>Well, I hadn&#8217;t looked through my inspiration file in a long time but when I read GN&#8217;s blog post about it the other day, I had a good flick through and it really helped my motivation.</p>
<p>If you haven&#8217;t got an inspiration file, I highly recommend creating one!  It could be a computer folder or a hand held journal that you can carry around in your bag.</p>
<p>Alternatively, you can do like <a href="http://fitnessista.com/">Fitnessista</a> and make an <a href="http://fitnessista.com/2010/01/youre-my-inspiration-board/">inspiration board</a>.  I&#8217;m thinking about making one to hang above my computer desk so that it&#8217;s visible every day.</p>
<p>I came across a new inspiration picture today and it really gave me the urge to get back into the weights:</p>

<p><strong>Who is your physique inspiration?</strong></p>
<p>I recently placed an order with <a href="http://www.myprotein.co.uk/">MyProtein</a> for their new<a href="http://www.myprotein.co.uk/mp-max/one/one-blast/"> MP Max One Blast Energy Shots</a>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been using <a href="http://www.myprotein.co.uk/capsules-tablets-softgels/weight-loss/thermopure/">thermopure</a> for a while and they are fantastic for giving me a boost for my training but I decided to try these to see how they compare.  I&#8217;ve been put off by trying most of the energy shot drinks on the market because they all have such a high sugar content.  The drinks from MP are sugar free and only contain 4 calories per shot &#8211; awesome!</p>

<p>The rest of my food for today has been yummy!  Not eaten dinner just yet as I have no appetite and I didn&#8217;t want to eat before running so I may make myself a protein packed smoothie using one of your fantastic recipes when I get back.</p>
<p>Breakfast was apple &amp; cinnamon porridge topped with Greek yoghurt, dates &amp; pecans.</p>

<p>We went out food shopping earlier and I picked up 3 sirloin steaks for dinner, one for me, the husband and mini JAG.  However, my mini JAG has been pretty poorly for the last 3 days and has barely eaten any food so didn&#8217;t want to eat steak.</p>
<p>Initially, I was going to put it in the freezer and keep it for another night but then I said to the husband &#8220;what the hell &#8211; I&#8217;ll just cook all 3 and we&#8217;ll have one and a half each&#8221;.  Cue him saying I was the perfect woman.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t feel very womanly at the moment, I&#8217;ve just chommed down on 14oz of steak!  It was delicious though!</p>
<p>I had to call in sick today as the little man was so poorly.  He&#8217;s been ill all weekend and has been running a fever causing him to hallucinate at times.  Last night, he got so hot, I was really worried about him so slept in his room with him so I could keep an eye on him.  We barely slept a wink as he was so restless, kept waking up, was too hot, then too cold, then needed a drink.  When my alarm went off at 5.45am I was exhausted and he asked me not to leave him whilst I went to work.</p>
<p>I took him to see the doc and he has tonsillitis pretty badly so is on antibiotics &#8211; get well soon my lovely mini JAG *mwah*</p>
<p>So, most of today has been spent with both of us trying to catch up on sleep!  I am heading upstairs shortly to hit the weights though and am training back &amp; shoulders.</p>
<p>Food has been gorgeous!  I ate a late breakfast of porridge made with jumbo oats, skimmed milk, Greek yoghurt, chopped dates and pecans.</p>

<p>As breakfast was so late, I wasn&#8217;t hungry at lunch time so snacked on a babybel light and an original 9bar this afternoon.</p>

<p>Dinner was perfection.  Sirloin steak &#8211; medium rare, served with red onions, spiced sweet potato wedges, baby leaf salad &amp; tomato.</p>
