You have to keep trying the olives. I hated them for years and years, but I kept trying them just out of interest really. Then one day I suddenly REALLY loved them, and now I eat them all the time. I also know quite a few other people who have been through the hate them/eat them/ still hate them/eat them/love them process, so I reckon it really does work. Liking the ciabatta is the first step!
I have also been trying the same process with Marmite, but it is not working with that yet! YUK

I love olives - can work my way through a whole pot in one sitting quite happily! :-)

Until about 2 years ago, though, I absolutely hated them! I have no idea what changed, but I kept trying them, and gradually I just liked them! I think the key is to start with ones that are in a really strong-flavoured marinade such as lemon and herb, or chilli - that way you're not focussing so much on the olive itself!

I used to hate olives but then I kind of got used to them. I had them in a pasta dish a little while ago and they tasted amazing so that offically won me over! Sometimes a little rain can be so refreshing!

Yes I dont like olives either! Although my Dad used to hate them until he married my mum, and grew into liking them, so maybe I have to wait another ten years and then I will like them?
If they are in things in tiny amounts then they are ok, but the texture is just plain weird!

Thanks chick, I can't wait. You're not too old to go for it - why don't you do a charity jump?
